Elecciones

The elections were this week for the president of Peru! It was the worst week because nobody was home. Here it is a law to vote, if not, big ticket. So to make sure everyone votes of Sunday, you can't have church. So that's two weeks in a row without church! But we managed. We arranged a Sacrament Meeting with the pensionista and we all gave talks and participated in the sacr

ament. It was a lot of fun. Then we walked around for hours looking for people and nobody wanted us. But every vehicle that was running around with speakers announcing someone, we stopped and got free SWAG( Stuff We All Get). It was a fun couple of weeks.

Last Monday when we went out proselyting, we were looking for a less active and found his brother who is 30 years older than him... His name is Wiler and it is actually pronounced like Willard! It's insane! He is the coolest guy ever. He said he use to always reject elders and just recently when we knocked he had a change of heart and let us in. It was an amazing lesson.

But earlier that day, as a Zone we ate all you can eat pizza and then played basketball. But when we got to the chapel, the alarm was going off. So we shut it off and started playing, but it went off again! So the Zone Leader went in and said he saw a cat run upstairs in the chapel. So me and two other elders went up to find it. They both grabbed brooms and I couldn't find another, so I found a mop. The cat was hiding in a room and it slipped out. The other elders were trying to sweep it with no success and it was about to get away. So I took the mop and wrapped it up. That cat was terrified when I did that and stopped fighting. We got it in a bucket and tossed it outside. It was a crazy P-day!

Anyway, I think it's cooling down now. I was teaching a lesson and felt the desire to put a jacket on. That's not good, because it's still like 70 degrees at night. I'm going to die at home. Love you all, and enjoy the photos!
