Kids Don't Lie

We had many interesting experiences these last few weeks with kids not letting their parents lie. We knock on the door of a family and their housemaid (they are filthy rich) answered the door and said they weren't home. Then their five-year-old son Joshua comes running and screaming, "MENTIROSA, MI PAPA ESTA A DENTRO!!!"

It made me happy that the kids trust us enough not to lie. Then we asked another family if they read The Book of Mormon. They looked at each other and their daughter Valentina said, "No they aren't reading, the book just sits there and nobody touches it. I would read it if I knew how to read."

The kids here in Trujillo are much better than Chimbote. The kids in Chimbote yell whatever swear word they learned from songs or tv shows.

Everything is good down here. We are teaching a woman and her son a little about when Christ died and also his apostles. Then we said the church was lost. She was so surprised that she said she wants to know if it is true. So we told her to pray to find out. But the next visit she did the opposite and asked her mom and looked it up on the internet. But she did find out that there is no relation between Peter and the first pope. The answer works, but it's much better if you just ask God.

Love you all, hope everything is going well. Take care of the states!
